Placed amid a bustling area of boutiques and restaurants at Third Avenue and twenty-third street, sits Confidence Beauty Salon and Spa. An ideal location for a pre-posh dinner beauty bout, this Gramercy Park spa is just as delicious as the iconic eateries that share its location. Established in 2008, Confidence Beauty Salon and Spa may be a newcomer to the area, but this establishment is ready to raise the standards for neighboring salons and spas. The Confidence staff prides themselves on the ten plus years of experience each specialist has in their field and their confidence shows in the diversity of their treatments.

Located on the second floor, Confidence’s salon comes alive with natural light and adorable retro interior accented by orange light fixtures. The bright adornments and television panels broadcasting celebrity news and trivia questions immediately reassured me I was in the right place for a lighthearted, fun and relaxing day at the spa.

In back of the salon, facials, waxing and massages are performed in various individual treatment rooms offering the utmost privacy. Complete with music adjustable to preference, each client receives a terry cloth wrap and a ton of individual attention in their rooms.

I found the offerings at Confidence Beauty Salon and Spa the most versatile array I’d seen in Gramercy, ranging from waxing of all areas of the body, to hair styling, to full nail treatment, to a vast menu of massages. Their Facials and Clinical Special Treatment menus are extensive enough for anyone to find the perfect care, featuring several Botox® alternatives.

These services sit alongside some Confidence specialties, such as the Liquid Gold Facial. This form of Facial employs the golden berry of the Seabackthorn bush, popular in countries such as Tibet, Mongolia, and Scandinavia as a skin care remedy. The oil from this berry is rich in vitamins and nutrients and is said to promote skin regeneration, combat dryness, wrinkles and other signs of premature aging. In addition to this specialized product, Confidence offers a wide variety of other products including Anna Lotan’s Green Line, which addresses concerns for mature skin and uses all of nature’s greens for a dramatic effect. Confidence also offers makeup, masks, hair care, cleansers and creams from all over the globe.
